Noet + Gmail

Search Gmail and draft replies from your Mac

Find Gmail messages by sender, subject or date, inspect the original thread, and prepare a reply with Noet, your desktop AI for macOS.

What you can do

Ways to use Noet with Gmail.

Find the relevant email

Ask 'Find the contract email from Priya this month.' Noet can search connected Gmail accounts by sender, subject, label and date, with links back to the matching threads.

Draft replies with context

Find the thread first, then ask for a reply. Review the recipient, wording and source before approving an action that creates a draft or sends a message.

Catch up after time off

Ask 'What emails need my attention today?' and get a prioritised summary of your inbox without opening a single tab.

Try a focused Gmail workflow

Use this example request with your own project, people and dates. It illustrates a workflow, not a recorded customer result.

Find Priya's email about the onboarding deadline from this month. Show the source thread, then draft a reply asking whether Friday still works. Do not send it.
  1. Connect the Gmail account you use for this project, then open Ask Noet with ⌥Space. Include a sender, subject or timeframe rather than asking about your whole inbox.
  2. Inspect the returned subject, sender, date and account. Open the Gmail source link to read the full conversation and check whether a later message changed the deadline.
  3. Ask for a reply to the specific thread. Treat the proposed wording as a draft, check the recipient and any commitments, and review the confirmation before an external action runs.

Connect Gmail and review access

Connecting Gmail lets Noet search your inbox and draft replies. It takes about a minute and happens entirely through Google's secure sign-in.

Review the requested permissions and your organisation's policy before connecting a work account. Selected context may be sent to an AI provider when you ask for a response.

Follow the Gmail connection guide

Read the privacy and security boundaries before choosing which work to connect.

What to check when a result is incomplete

Live Gmail search needs a connected account and network access. Search results can include snippets rather than the full conversation. If a provider request fails, cached results may be stale; they are not proof that an email is missing. Review the original thread before making a commitment.

Check the connection, name the likely source and narrow the timeframe. Learn how to ask a more precise question or follow a search across Gmail, Slack and GitHub.

Questions about Noet and Gmail

Can I search more than one Gmail account?

Noet's Gmail search can search connected accounts together. Results identify their source accounts so you can check which inbox contains the message. An account with expired access may need reconnecting.

Does finding an email send a reply?

Searching is read-only. Draft creation and sending are separate actions governed by your confirmation policy. Ask for wording first if you only want a proposed reply.

What if the email does not appear?

Check the connected account, narrow the sender and date range, and try an exact subject phrase. Resolve any connection error and compare with Gmail directly before assuming the message does not exist.

Noet works with Gmail and Slack, GitHub — all from a single keystroke on your Mac.
