AI email reply drafts with context on Mac
Start your email reply with the conversation already in view.
Writing a useful reply often starts with rereading the thread and checking what changed. Noet can prepare reply drafts from connected conversations when a message needs a response. Instead of starting with an empty composer, review the proposed wording alongside its context. You decide what to keep, what to change, and whether to send.

In practice
A workflow you can try
A customer asks whether Friday still works for a review. Before replying, you need the earlier conversation and the outstanding question about who will attend.
Find the latest Acme email about the review. Draft a concise reply confirming Friday afternoon works and asking who else will attend. Show me the source thread. Do not send it.
Read the proposed reply and open the original thread. Confirm that the date is correct, the recipient is the intended person, and the wording matches what you can commit to. Edit or discard the draft if it makes an assumption you cannot verify.
Illustrative example. Replace the names, dates, and sources with your own. This is not a recorded customer result.
How to use Noet for reply drafts
01
Connect the Gmail account for the conversation
Connect the account that received the message. If you use several accounts, check which one contains the thread. A sender, subject, or timeframe helps Noet locate the right conversation instead of drafting from a vaguely related message.
02
Review the prepared reply or request a draft
Noet can prepare a reply when an incoming conversation needs one. You can also ask for a draft explicitly with ⌥Space. Describe the outcome and tone you want, and ask Noet to retrieve any additional connected context needed for the reply.
03
Edit the message and confirm the external action
Check the recipient, account, thread, and wording before approving a send. A draft is preparation, not a sent message. Externally visible actions follow Noet's confirmation policy, and a failed action must be reported as a failure.
What to know before you rely on it
- Noet does not prepare a reply to every message. Preparation depends on the conversation, connected account, and available context.
- An internal reply draft is different from creating a draft in Gmail or sending an email. Actions that change an external service require confirmation.
- Local indexed storage does not make AI drafting fully offline. Selected conversation context may be processed by an AI provider.

Common questions
Will Noet send the reply automatically?
Prepared work is for review. Sending email requires confirmation under the configured policy. Check the recipients and final text before approving the action.
Can I use information from other tools in a reply?
You can ask Noet to retrieve relevant information from supported connected tools and use it in a draft. Name the project and sources, then verify the retrieved evidence. Connecting a tool does not guarantee every relevant record will be found.
Does Noet also help with Slack replies?
Noet supports connected Slack conversations and reply preparation. The account, channel, thread, and confirmation checks still matter. The Slack integration page explains the available workflows.
